I debated whether to post this or not. I’m generally not one to do this but having being a previous resident in BP I fear for the older residents-I was served by a man I assume was the owner. who was openly obtrusive, dismissive, and unnecessarily nasty. Rather than providing help, he seemed intent on asserting himself and making the interaction uncomfortable. This wasn’t a bad day or a misunderstanding — it was a clear lack of professionalism and basic decency. Customers should not be spoken to or treated in this way. If this is the standard being accepted, it seriously undermines trust in what should be a public service like the Post Office . Really sad to see for a close community spirit that Brunton park is renowned for. However people are clearly voting with their feet as the shop is constantly dead and it’s testament to the service provided.

The main proprietors - Mo and his partner - particularly are very helpful and friendly. As well as Post Office services, they stock a good range of newspapers, magazines, confectionery and other basics, and I would score them well but as I have seen is the case with numerous other reviewers, I too have found on many occasions that Andrew “the bald gentleman with glasses’” is rude, very unhelpful, patronising and condescending to customers. I do not like to give poor reviews particularly to small local businesses but the bad experiences have been too frequent with this man.

Really unmodernised. Went to pay for a book for my kid, and was CALLED by a post office line. he said I can’t pay there and needed to go on the shop line. 1m away. Fair enough got to the shop line and was told it was card only and the post office only takes cards. They sent me to them I explained and he rudely said “well it’s still cash only” so I left and won’t ever return. It is very unmodern to only take cash. I see they take a break mid-day and close. Both the men there seemed very uninterested and were very short the guy on the shop side was downright a rude person. Avoid it.

Does the job but customer service and politeness is well below average ☹️
